CERTAIN – developed from hands-on experience to make CE marking easier

CERTAIN grew out of a real, practical need: for years, CE marking had been too laborious, too error-prone, too confusing. Too many spreadsheets, too many regulations, too little structure.

The idea for the software came from Joachim Ennen, an officially certified CE expert and owner of the en:plan engineering consultancy. Drawing on his own day-to-day project work, he spent years developing digital tools to make CE marking simpler, faster and more legally sound.

This became the core of CERTAIN: software that maps the entire CE process in a structured way – from risk assessment, through standards research, to the finished documentation. Clearly guided. Legally sound. Without detours.

Together with Neil Frost and Flo Sloot, CERTAIN was developed from a prototype into a market-ready solution. Today, CERTAIN stands for the combination of sound CE expertise, modern cloud technology and a single goal: to make CE documentation as intuitive and efficient as it should be.

CERTAIN is not a theoretical piece of software. It is a tool developed by practitioners – for everyone who carries responsibility for CE marking.
